Prospectus
Our prospectus
contains all the information parents might need to know when deciding to enroll
their child and is sent out to all new parent/carers. It gives details of how, when and where we operate. Our aim is
to ensure that families are fully aware of what Pre-school has to
offer. The prospectus is also updated annually.
You will find a
copy of it on the notice board at the Pre-school or you can
click here to download a copy.
Admission
Policy
- Our pre-school
offers education and care for children below school age and over the age of 2
years 10 months. Toilet-training is encouraged but is not a requirement
for starting pre-school.
- In most
cases children will be initially offered 2 sessions per week. These could be
mornings or/and afternoons.
- Fees are
currently £6.20 (from September 2009) per session paid in advance on a half-termly
basis. Lunch club is also available for 3 years+ at £3.00 per session.
- Pre-school
requests 4 weeks notice if your child is leaving Pre-school for any reason
(except when leaving at the end of the Summer term to attend school).
- Pre-school
must be kept informed at all times of changes in details such as addresses
and telephone numbers.
- Morning
Sessions start at 9.00am and end at 11.45am ; Afternoon sessions start at
12.45pm and end at 3.20pm ; Lunch club runs from 11.45am to 12.45pm
everyday.
- Pre-school
needs to have seen proof of your child's date of birth when he/ she starts
Pre-school. Please bring appropriate proof (e.g. birth certificate,
passport, benefits book) with you when you attend your child's trial
session.
Registration
You can register
your child with the Pre-school at any time. Please download and fill in
the provisional
registration form and return this to either the Pre-school or the
admissions secretary. To help meet initial administration
costs, a registration fee of £10 is required when you register your child with
the Pre-school. Please do feel free to contact
the pre-school or
email Brigid, the admissions secretary
for any further information.
Admission /
Home Visit
Once you have
provisionally registered your child with the Pre-school, the admissions
secretary will contact you to arrange a Home Visit as there are quite a few
forms to fill in and some paperwork to go through prior to your initial session.
This is also a good opportunity for our Supervisor, Dawn Gibson to meet with
your child before they start pre-school. You and your child will then be invited
for a trial session as close to their expected start date as possible.
